Guest Information and other FAQ
Where are you located?
We are located 2216 Robert Wilson Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110. We are approximately 4 miles from Centertown, TN.
What should I wear when I visit?
At Sunny Hills Baptist, you will see a variety of attire. Some dressy, some more casual. The most important thing is that YOU are there!
What kind of music is at your church?
We desire that our music first and foremost uplifts the name of the Lord. When choosing the music at Sunny Hills, we strive to select songs that are Biblically based, distinctively Christian, and that will edify and move the hearts of all who are present. There are no light shows or smoke machines; we are what most would call "traditional" or "conservative". By the way, this does not mean "dead" and "boring"! The music is moving, points our focus to our Saviour, and prepares our heart for worship. We love to sing the great hymns of the faith such as "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross", and also are blessed with several who provide the special music.
What Bible version do you use at Sunny Hills?
We use the King James Bible for all of the preaching and teaching at Sunny Hills, for all classes and age groups.
Will I be pointed out or embarrassed when visiting?
No! We diligently try to not embarrass and point out people, especially guests. Our Pastor has been to churches where the Pastor makes you stand and introduce yourself publicly; we will not do that at Sunny Hills! Do not be surprised though when you are very welcomed at our church! It will happen! We love guests!
Am I expected to take part in the offering?
No. As a visitor, you are welcome to give but are not expected or required to.
Do you have a Nursery available?
We certainly do, just off the lobby of the main auditorium
How can I know that I will go to Heaven when I die?
We are glad you asked! Read here to find out how you can know you are going to Heaven.
I do not have a Bible. Where can I get one?
All you have to do is ask. We will give you a Bible of your very own!
Can I find friends here?
You certainly can! God wants us to have friendships with others. After all, Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother! (Proverbs 18:24)
I am not perfect. I have done a lot of wrong in my life, and I do not feel that some would welcome me to church. Will it be okay if I come?
It certainly will. The Bible says "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We are all from different backgrounds, but we have one thing in common: we are all human and we are all sinners! The only one who walked this earth and never sinned was Jesus. No matter where you come from, or where you are on the road of life, you are welcome here. We are ALL imperfect people!
Is Sunny Hills Baptist Church affiliated with an association or convention?
No. Sunny Hills is an unaffiliated Baptistic church with no ties to the Southern Baptist Convention or any other association or convention.
